During workshop group activities, as well as during exercises and games, as part of two 3-day meetings (6 days – about 40+ hours), participants of the TOC+DNA workshop will learn about the innovative TOC methodology of strategic management.
WHY IT MAKES SENSE?
KEY ASSUMPTIONS TOC+ DNA:
TOC+ DNA workshop has it’s origin in the approach created by Dr. Eliyahu Goldratt, the creator of the Theory of Constraints (TOC) and described in the book “The Goal” (1984), the bestselling business book.
TOC is not a theory (although it is an acronym from Theory of Constraints). This is a strategic approach to the organization aimed at REACHING BREATHROUGH RESULTS IN RECORD-SHORT TIME. The key to this approach is recognizing the limiting factor and focusing on managing this constraint, so that we can achieve breakthrough improvement in a relatively short time.
Research and extensive life experience show that:
This is what the TOC+ DNA Workshop looks like – Knowledge + Practice + Experience + Results.
THEREFORE, WE REQUIRE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF AN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FROM WHICH THE BENEFITS WILLE EXCEED 10 FOLD THE ORIGINAL TOC+ DNA WORKSHOP INVESTMENT.
ISSUES ADRESSED at the TOC+ DNA WORKSHOP
What is TOC / Theory of Constraints, Why does this approach give such huge benefits, Basic paradigms and TOC logic, 4 TOC pillars, Areas of TOC application and what problems it addresses, The greatest limitation of the future.
Are breakthrough results possible, 3 Types of limitations we encounter, 5 Steps of On-Going improvement (POOGI), Improvement of a planning constraint using the simulator, Reference TOC to LEAN and how to achieve the synergy effect. Discussing the ideas contained in the book “The Goal”.
The paradigm of local performance measurements, 3 TOC global measurements, Supportive measurements, Throughput assessment model for each improvement / investment, Choice of the optimal product-mix, The process of creating holistic measurements. Working with a profitability assessment form on a practical example.
Key limitation of the sales function, Paradigms requiring change, Increase of the commercial activity, Idea of division of labor and specialization. Discussing a few cases how to create an un-refusable offer.
Multitasking and its effects, The biggest problems of project management, Improvement of communication in the project, Basics of the critical chain (CCPM), How to quickly speed up projects, Working with a project card on a practical example.
Paradigm of „Continuous Work”, TOC and LEAN and Ford and Traditional production, Basics of Simplified Drum Buffer Rope (S-DBR), System of 3 color priorities, How to Manage constraints in production.

The goal is to convince yourself and everyone around you that thanks to TOC you can achieve more as a company, as a manager, as a human being. Therefore, between the first 3 days and the second 3 days, it is required to perform one TOC improvement project with an intended scale of profits of at least 5 000 EURO (10 times the value of the original TOC+DNA workshop investment).
